FROM THE CLASS OF 2022

We are pleased to share the sincere gratitude expressed by several of our recent scholarship recipients:

It is a real honor to be the recipient of both the Martha Hoo Memorial Scholarship and the Building 19 Scholarship.  I would like to sincerely thank you for these.  In the fall I will be attending the Commonwealth Honors College at UMass Amherst.  I am majoring in kinesiology and am planning on becoming a physical therapist in the future.  This scholarship has boosted my confidence and given me that extra motivation to not only excel but also dedicate lots of time towards my goals.  I'd like to thank you again for supporting my academic and personal goals with your generosity.  With gratitude, LT

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for allowing me to receive this scholarship.  It truly means so much to me and has become an important asset in affording my college education.  I am going to the University of New Hampshire to study Business Administration at Paul College.  I have become very interested in the world of economics, business math, and finances in the last couple of years and am excited to learn more and find my place in business school.  I know that a lot of the business world will be a challenge for me but I am striving to bring myself up to a higher standard and learn to face these challenges with confidence, knowledge, and a clear head.  These are skills I hope to develop at UNH to improve upon myself and take my future steps to make a difference in the business field.  Thank you so much for helping me take the first steps in my journey.  Sincerely, ND

I just wanted to take a second to thank you for awarding me such a generous scholarship and let you know how the money will be utilized in terms of my future endeavors.  I will use this scholarship to support my quest for a degree in pharmacy at the University of Florida.  It means a great deal to me that you have deemed me worthy of such a scholarship.  Thanks again, DW

Thank you so much for sponsoring my Dollars for Scholars award!  CSF's generosity means so much to me and will help me pursue my educational goal: a double major in anthropology and theater at Washington University in St. Louis.  I'm most looking forward to a Shakespeare course I've signed up for that will let me travel to London, made more possible by your support.  Thank you for making this and future dreams easier to achieve.  Sincerely, HA

Thank you for the generous gift that will support my education.  I appreciate being supported by my town and my community.  Thank you, AP

Thank you so much for the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  I will be attending Merrimack College in the fall to major in Graphic Design.  Thanks again for the support and your generosity.  Sincerely, TG

I just wanted to thank you for giving me this scholarship, and to let you know how much it means to me.  I think it's amazing how our community takes care of high school seniors and encourages them to fulfill their academic goals.  For me, this scholarship will help me obtain a degree in linguistics at the University of Massachusetts - Amherst, where I'll be devoting most of my time to the thing I love most, languages.  Again, thank you for this scholarship; I'm very grateful.  SDM

I will be a freshman at UMass-Amherst this fall.  I will be majoring in psychology to hopefully become a researcher in the future.  I'm sending this card to express my gratitude for your generous gift of the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  Thank you so much for helping me continue my education and work towards my dreams.  Sincerely, AD

Thank you so much for your generous scholarship.  I am beyond grateful for the support - I truly appreciate it!  Next year I'll be attending the University of Connecticut, pursuing a degree in marketing and potentially nutrition!  I'm honored to have been awarded the scholarship to help while studying there!  Best, NG

Thank you so much for sponsoring me and giving me the Progress Software Scholarship and the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  Receiving this is truly a help to me and my family and will greatly help in my academic pursuits at Rochester Institute of Technology, where I will be studying Cybersecurity.  I enjoy composing music and writing stories as well.  I hope you have a wonderful summer.  Sincerely, R.  R.  p.s. Extend my thanks to Michael Rosenberg; I really enjoyed his presentation of awards, and also to all the volunteers that make Dollars for Scholars possible. RR

Thank you very much for your generosity and kindness to support my higher education.  Best wishes to you! And many thanks again!  ML

Thank you so much for the Dollars for Scholars scholarship!  I truly appreciate it.  I am looking forward to attending the University of Vermont in the fall.  I am going in undeclared within the College of Arts & Sciences but am strongly considering majoring in neuroscience.  I hope to pursue lab-based research and internships at the hospital right on campus.  I also am planning on joining a running club to continue running track and cross country.  Once again, thank you very much, and I am so excited to put your scholarship to good use and excel both in my academics and extracurriculars!  Many thanks, AP

Thank you so much for this scholarship.  This scholarship brings me one step closer to achieving my college goals.  I am planning to major in biology on the pre-med track, and this truly means a lot to me.  I find it so important to give back to one's community, which is why I am choosing a career in healthcare where I can help others.  Dollars for Scholars is similar in a way because the greater community is coming together to help seniors.  Thank you again, NT

Thank you so much for the Dollars for Scholars award!  The money I have received will help a lot in college.  Thank you as well for letting me intern for you this year.  It was truly an amazing experience!  LE

I want to sincerely thank you for selecting me for the Carl C. Howard Scholarship.  Studying engineering at a university like Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey has been one of my dreams for years, so any assistance in making that a reality is truly appreciated.  As far back as I can remember, engineering has been my ultimate career goal.  It is always great to hear about others [like Mr. Howard] that share an interest in both music and engineering, as they are not easy to find!  It is truly an honor to be awarded in his memory and I appreciate your generous scholarship as I further my education.  Thanks so much, MP

I was so pleased to receive the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  Thank you so very much.  This will help me tremendously with my college tuition.  This is such a wonderful program that helps students out a lot.  I am so very appreciative of this award.  Thank you again, IS

Thank you so much for awarding me the Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  This will greatly help support my studies this fall at UMass-Amherst.  I will be studying kinesiology, and plan to go into physical therapy.  I appreciate your recognition of me, and will continue to work hard to give back to my community.  Sincerely, CG

I just wanted to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful scholarship you gave me.  I feel so grateful ad blessed to have members of the community like you that are so kind and generous.  I truly cannot thank you enough.  Your kindness will not be forgotten. Love, ES

I wanted to reach out and thank you for my scholarship!  I will be attending UMass-Amherst this fall, and I am currently a Political Science major, though I plan to change that.  My goal is to double major in Biochemical Engineering and Neuroscience.  I plan to one day get PhDs in both, and want to work on researching a cure for Alzheimer's, which my grandfather suffers from.  As someone who comes from a low income, single-parent household, this scholarship truly means the world to me, and I promise it will be put to good use.  With the help of this scholarship, I hope to not only succeed, but truly thrive in college.  Thank you so much, RM

Thank you for allowing me to receive the Dollars for Scholars [scholarship]!  I have always cherished the small, detailed things in life, and this scholarship, which was kindly awarded to me, may be the key to success, or, (if that's too dramatic) it may be what allows me to continue pursuing my dreams.  Next year I will be attending the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) where I hope to continue pursuing math and computer science.  I don't know what awaits me there, but I'm excited to find out!  All in all, this scholarship means so much to me, and I would like to thank you, my sponsor, for granting me the honor to receive this award.  NL

I am writing to thank you.  I am extremely happy and honored to have been selected for a Dollars for Scholars scholarship.  I am very appreciative of your support and know that I have not taken it for granted.  I will continue my education at Boston College where I will be studying Business.  Thank you again, AN
